Playing iStacked on Your iPhone

February 11, 2009 by as1

The tower will appear primarily from an angle where two sides of the tower can be viewed. The player will have one of the four corners of the construction at the center of his view.

The player can move this angle of viewing as they wish by swiping his finger horizontally besides the tower. The tower can be rotated horizontally left-right, right-left or up and down in seamless motions. This will allow the player to look at the full tower in 3D.

The object of the game is to remove bricks from the tower (anywhere except the top 3 levels) without making the tower fall.

Once you have removed the brick, you need to place it on top of the tower and build the tower higher. Again, you must not let the tower fall when placing the brick back on top.

As each brick is removed and placed on top, the tower becomes more and more unstable.

The person who causes the tower to fall, loses.

    Gameplay:

You can rotate the tower by placing your finger in the area next to the tower and swiping across.

Find a brick you wish to remove and then touch the tower. Your view will now zoom into the brick. Touch the brick and then tilt the iPhone (to remove the brick) in a way which will keep the level ball in the middle of the pipe.

If the ball moves towards the edge, you have made too much movement while removing the brick and the tower will fall.

If the level indicator is on the bottom of the screen, you can either slide the iPhone towards you or away from you to remove the brick.

If the level indicator is on the side of the screen, you will still need to tilt the iPhone towards you or away from you to keep the level ball in the center of the pipe but at the same time, you will need to tilt the iPhone in the direction you wish the brick to be removed.

Once the brick has been removed and you have managed to keep the tower from falling, drag the brick to the top of the tower. Once you position the brick at the top, your view will change to “placement view”.

In placement view, you will be looking at the tower from the top.

Tilt the iPhone until your brick is in the desired position and then tap the brick. It will fall into place. Once you have placed your brick, you cannot move it.

There is a rotate button in the corner of the screen. Touching this will rotate the brick at a 90 degree angle. Use it if you need to.

Be careful not to place a brick more than halfway off the edge or at an unstable position. It may cause the tower to fall.

Once you have placed the brick at the top successfully without causing the tower to fall, play passes to the next person in a multiplayer game.
