Why is Brain Trap so Addictive?

July 22, 2009 by as1 · Leave a Comment

Solving riddles is problem solving, something that has been hard wired into humans since time began.

We never stop craving it and even though our way of living may have changed in a big way with the introduction of computers and such, you will still find yourself, when faced with a mental challenge wanting to be the one who finds a solution or be the one who answers the question correctly.

It’s the same reason why every human at one point or another has thought to themselves……Why didn’t I think of that?

Impossibly Possible?

All these riddles have been cleverly compiled to stimulate that human power house you hide under your skull. This is what makes us different from animals (that and the fact we have opposable thumbs, obviously).

The fact that we have the ability to analyse and problem solve is why we are at the top of the food chain.
All these riddles have relatively simple answers but naturally the human nature will trigger a flare in your brain and make you over think a situation and convince you that the answer is more complicated than it seems.

Are you able to prove you can simplify problems and find the correct yet less obvious answer?

Infuriatingly Addictive

Were you ever posed a riddle which you were sure you could work out the answer to? Yet parts of the cunning riddle itself closed avenues through which you could have ventured to find the answer?
Like ‘A man stood in a dark passageway, no natural light nor  artificial light is present, yet he is still able to see his car 50 metres away, how?

You may think the man has left his headlights switched on, no, wait that’s artificial light! AAAAAGGGGHHHH!!

If you think you have the brain power and patience to conquer such puzzlers, I welcome you to the world of ……Brain Trap.
